The Peacock and The Crane.
Once upon a time, there was a peacock who had very beautiful feathers and was entirely fulfill with pride. One day, he happened to meet a crane and spread his wide, shiny, grand and colourful tail under the sun for impressing him.
The peacock said proudly to the crane, “Look here, how gorgeous is my Wings. What do you have to compare by it? I am beautified in all seven colours and glory of rainbow, where as your feathers are dusty, dull and grey!”
Instead of answering, the crane spread his wide wings, flew up in the sky, and then replied, “If you can, follow me! But the peacock stood wherever he was, among the banyan birds. However, the crane roared in far freedom of the blue sky.
Therefore, the crane showed the reality to the peacock that useful is more important than ornamental. The peacock got extremely ashamed and folded up his wings.
This interesting story has two very meaningful morals, which are:
- Useful is much more important and valuable than ornamental.
- Never find fault in others.
