The Lion and The Clever Fox
Once upon a time, there was a Lion, living in a deep forest with his family. One morning, as he woke up, smelling to The Lion’s Mouth Smell, his wife told him that it is very smelly and stinky. The Lion was extremely angry and ashamed listening to his wife’s words.
He wanted to check that it is truth, or not? Therefore, he called other three animals outside his den to ask. First turn was of The Sheep. The Lion opened his wide mouth in front of The Sheep and asked, “Sheep! You just tell me, does my mouth smell unpleasant?”
The Sheep thought that The Lion would be expecting The Honest Answer. Therefore, The Sheep replied, “Yes, King Lion! It seems some problem with your breath!” This honest answer did not go well with The Lion. So, he jumped and killed The Sheep instantly.
The next turn was of The Wolf, The Lion called him and asked again, “What do you think, I have a stinky breath, or not?” Seeing to The Sheep’s Condition, The Wolf was very careful in answering The Question. Therefore, The Wolf flattered, “It’s not smelly at all! It is as sweet as The Smell of Roses!”
Listening to The Wolf’s Flattery, The Lion growled in anger, “The Flatterer!” and quickly killed him too.
The Fox’s Turn
Finally, The Fox’s turn came; The Lion asked the same question to him. The Fox was well-known about the misfortune and incident with The Sheep and The Wolf.
Therefore, while answering, he coughed and cleared his throat repeatedly and said, “Oh Sorry Dear Friend! I have been having a very bad cold for last few days! And because of this, I cannot clearly smell anything that is pleasant or unpleasant.
Listening to The Master Fox’s words, The Lion spared his life.
This interesting story has two very meaningful morals, which are:
- Never involve in bad company and situation, otherwise, you may be punished without any mistake.
- Sometimes, it’s prudent for being away from these situations.
