Every type of people lives in this world. Some of them are enough lucky to have a big house fulfilled with all the luxuriousness and facilities, whereas some aren’t. Owning a house is nothing short of a luxury, which one thankfully I have.

I am really fortunate being safe and secure by a roof and four walls. It’s the result of hard working of my parents that I am blessed so with a house. I live in my parental house with my five family members, my grandparents, parents and siblings.

My House is at least 20 years old. It has four rooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, two bathrooms, a garden, and a courtyard. I virtually praise the beauty of my house. It becomes even more beautiful through grapes vines splendid here and there.

And the garden around my house adds greenery to it and cools the eyes. Other than this, it consists of four large trees at the four corners of my house, one of mango, second of pomegranate, next of apple, and the last of henna, which provides us both sweet fruits and shade.

Also, it gets a unique look from vintage switchboards. As my house was constructed around 20 years ago, it includes very high ceilings. My house is situated at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh in India.

In addition, it is located in between of two roads and is connected with my two neighbours. Moreover, it has two entry gates, one from front and another from backend. My friends take many images of my house, whenever they come.

Interior of My House

My relatives as well like my house’s interior, which is a mixture of vintage and modern architecture. My house is made in our locality and is painted with white and blue colours. And it consists of almost every modern facilities and amenities.

The floor is entirely marbled and the kitchen is wide and very comfy to cook. Next to the kitchen, there is the living room and one of its door opens to a huge balcony, which has a lovely view of a park and a playground present just at the other side of our garden and the road.

The bathroom too is wide, well ventilated and tiled with a shower and a tub. All the four rooms are stylishly beautified and furnished. A long woollen carpet covers the floor and one beautiful painting hung on a wall.

My house’s dining table is in oval with costly glass classic covering. My garden around my house has lovely, fluffy and tender grass with numerous plants in earthen pots. They all add to the grace and beauty of my house.

And all of these facilities and amenities make my house a very delightful place to live in.

An Undervalued Blessing — House

To have a house is an undervalued blessing. You can go and ask anyone who does not have a house, if you have not realised it still. Then only you will feel that how great blessing it is having an own house.

A House does not require being luxurious and much filled with latest facilities and amenities. A house is only complete if you are safe, secure in four walls, and have a roof over your head.

Also, there can be no greater blessing than this, if you have your loved ones and family members with you. Before being very late, you must feel your house’s importance.

Until an incident that modified my outlook and point of view, I did not know my house was how much precious. Whenever I see a poor living on the road and footpath, I feel very bad. Similarly, the housemaid who works for our house always comes early in the morning and leaves late in the evening.

As she completes her work timely, my mother even asks her to leave early, but she does not do so. Instead of leaving, she used to perform extra work. But later on, she told us that she doesn’t have a house really and only that she had was a very badly broken and unhygienic hut in a poor colony.

Not a hut, it was just a chair with a folding. That’s why, she loved spending more time at my house, because she had basic facilities available here such as clean water and electricity.

This incident made me to realise the real importance of house and changed my vision towards house. Therefore, truly, it is an undervalued blessing, that generally everybody ignores. Before getting late, we must value our homes.
