We all celebrate Children’s Day On 14th of November annually. Children’s Day is celebrated because “Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru” was born on 14th November 1889 in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) of Uttar Pradesh in India, who was very fond of children.
So, due to his immense love to children, this day was considered as children’s day. As children’s also liked him so much, he famed from another name that children used to call him very fondly i.e., “Chacha Nehru”.
Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was also The First Prime Minister of India. After Independence from 15th August 1947 and served until 27th May 1964. Nehru ji had considered that the upcoming future creators of our India are children and also had a glorious love for them.
It is our duty to conserve our future by making the future of our children in better directions. At a glance, for love of children we started to remember his Birthday as Children’s Day.
Jawaharlal Nehru always pleaded that each and every child of our country are claiamant for a fully fulfilled childhood and best quality education.

14th November was announced as The Children’s Day from The Death of Nehru ji on 27th May 1964, due to unmeasurable and unending love to children. This day is celebrate all over the whole country to show the love and affection towards children.
In schools and colleges, children celebrate children’s day with great excitement, pomp and show. On this day, both teachers and children of all schools go out to celebrate their day of routine.

The children are the torchbearer of the future, so, school celebrate this day through several events such as, quizzes, debates and cultural programs like music, drama and dance, and even distribute prices to the winners.
Teachers organise various cultural events for the students, because Chacha Nehru believed that by plays or dramas, teachers could communicate to the children on the topic, the importance of having a complete childhood to have a country with better future.
Also, many organise sports event. Teachers also invite children form near slums or orphanages for participating with the school students jointly. Such gestures create a sense of equality among students and are very welcome, as children learn to accommodate and share everything from society.
Various NGOs take this day as the chance for extending a helping hand to deprived children. Some people distribute food, gifts, toys books, chocolates and other necessities to children for free.
Several seminar and talk shows are conduct where many inspirational and motivational personalities by several fields such as, sports, cultural, education and entertainment sectors come and deliver motivational and inspiring speeches.
Government conducts several sessions to aware children about new schemes announced and implemented by the government for health, education and welfare. Some special programs are telecasted on television on The Children’s Day joyful occasion.
Also, various newspapers prints out special articles on this day that showcases the large talent of children in different corners of the country. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru said, “Today’s children will create tomorrow’s India. The way we turn them they will go the same.”
